Ground Truth Symposium
Translating Ukraine’s frontline reality into clearer understanding of the war, the capabilities shaping it, and the conditions required to bring it to an end on terms consistent with both Ukraine’s survival and United States strategic interests.
March 25, 2026 · Washington, D.C. · By invitation only

What it is
The Ground Truth Symposium is an invitation-only operational briefing in Washington, D.C. that brings Ukrainian frontline unit leaders together with Members of the United States Congress, congressional staff, and national security professionals for a direct exchange on battlefield realities, operational lessons, and the capabilities shaping the war in real time.
It is built around one central premise: ground truth is essential to understanding the real character of this war and the operational realities shaping its course. A direct understanding of battlefield conditions helps reduce misunderstanding of timelines, costs, operational constraints, and the capabilities shaping the war, leaving the United States better prepared to respond to the challenge posed by Russia, Iran, and others.
Hosted by the Peace Through Strength Institute, the symposium convenes participants from Congress and across the broader U.S. national security community for a focused exchange on operational lessons, emerging battlefield dynamics, and the practical challenges Ukraine faces in sustaining and scaling what works. Participants leave with a clearer understanding of the realities facing Ukraine, the capabilities proving most relevant on the modern battlefield, and observations relevant to U.S. defense planning and preparedness.
